International energy company ContourGlobal Hydro Cascade will invest more than Euro 50 million in rehabilitation of the Vorotan Hydropower Cascade.  This project represents the largest single U.S. private investment in Armenia's economy and the first such kind of investment in Armenia's energy sector. This has been announced during an international conference confined to signing of an agreement between Armenian Government and ContourGlobal on the acquisition of the assets of the Vorotan hydroelectric facility, a series of three individual power plants (Tatev, Shamb and Spandaryan). The International Finance Corporation ("IFC") has acquired a 20% interest in ContourGlobal Hydro Cascade to help acquire, operate, and rehabilitate the Vorotan Hydropower Cascade.

A new study released today by IFC, a member of the World Bank (WB) Group, shows that improvements in productivity, output quality, and food safety standards, combined with market and product diversification, can increase the competitiveness of Armenian fish products and lead to greater access to export markets.As the WB press-service informed ArmInfo, at the request of Armenia's Ministry of Economy, the IFC Armenia Investment Climate Reform Project has produced a sector review to pinpoint market imperfections and offer recommendations.

ArmInfo. On August 13, 2015 the 4th issue of AMD denominated floating rate bonds for AMD 2 billion issued by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) listed on NASDAQ OMX Armenia's main Abond list, informs ArmInfo the press service of the stock Exchange.

Today the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has placed its fourth issue of AMD bonds in the amount of AMD 2 billion with floating rate at NASDAQ OMX Armenia. ArmInfo has been notified by the Stock Exchange that profitability of the cut-off rate was set during the auction at 12.0328%. The floating coupon rate is referenced to 6-month AMD T-Bill rate published by the Central Bank of Armenia ("CBA") plus a margin of 0.25% for the further coupon payments. The bonds of the fourth issue are quoted at NASDAQ OMX Armenia under the stock ticker symbol EBRDB4. The placement was organized by "Ameriabank" CJSC, with the total number of bidder market participants being 3.

On July 23 British-Canadian "Lydian International" and its Armenian subsidiary "Geoteam" CJSC presented the results of the environmental and social impact assessment of the Amulsar Gold Project implementation. Along with several other expert consultants Wardell Armstrong International Ltd, an independent British consulting company undertook the assessment in compliance with the standards of the International Finance Corporation and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. To note, IFC and EBRD are "Lydian International" shareholders.
