ArmInfo. The banking system of Armenia increased its net profit in the first quarter of 2020 by 40% per annum to 23.3 billion drams ($ 46.3 million), while a year earlier a subsidence of 17.4% was recorded.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, the number of plastic cards increased by January 1, 2020 by 18.1% per annum - up to 2.4 million units, against almost similar growth a year  earlier (by 18%). And the total volume of plastic transactions slowed  down the growth from 22.6% in 2018 to 21.3% in 2019, exceeding 2.3  trillion AMD. This is evidenced by the data of the Central Bank of  Armenia.

ArmInfo. In 2019, the banking system of Armenia increased tax payments to the state  treasury by 7.7% - up to 54.6 billion drams ($ 114 million). Of this  amount, 94.5% or 51.6 billion drams were paid in direct taxes, with a  y-o-y growth of 23.8%.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, the number of plastic cards increased by October 18, 2019 by 18.4% per annum - up to 2.283 million units, against an increase of 17.9% a  year earlier. And the total volume of plastic transactions, almost  repeating the pace of last year (24.5% for 9 months of 2018), grew by  24% per annum for 9 months of 2019, exceeding 1.7 trillion drams.  This is evidenced by the data of the Central Bank of Armenia.

ArmInfo. In January-September 2019, the banking system of Armenia sent 42.3  billion drams in taxes to the state treasury, which is 10% higher  than a year ago. Of this amount, 94.5% or 40 billion drams were paid  on direct taxes (including profit tax, income tax), with y-o-y growth  of 15.9%.

ArmInfo. According to the results of 9 months of 2019, the net profit of the banking system of Armenia amounted to 60.9 billion drams or $ 128 million. The annual  growth of this indicator slowed down to 17.7% from last year's 81.3%.  According to the Express Ranking of Banks of Armenia prepared by  ArmInfo IC as of September 30, 2019 for the Q3 alone net profit  growth turned out to be meager - 0.8%, which is nevertheless better  than the dynamics of the same quarter of last year, when a decline of  6.9% was recorded.

ArmInfo.In Armenia, the number of plastic cards accelerated growth in the first half of 2019 compared to the same period in 2018 from 15.7% to 18%, reaching 2.184  million. At the same time, the annual growth in the total volume of  plastic transactions slowed down to 19.3% in the first half of 2019  from 22.9% in the first half of 2018, amounting to 1.031 trillion  drams. ArmInfo.Attaching importance to the role and importance of social responsibility and encouraging the expansion of the use of clean energy technologies in Armenia,  ARMSWISSBANK  and Solaron solar panel manufacturing company  jointly  implemented a project to equip the roof of the Melkonyan family home  with 5.4 kW solar panels.

ArmInfo.In the h1 of 2019, the banking system of Armenia sent 29.4 billion drams or about $ 62 million tax to the state treasury, which is 6.5% higher than the  indicator a year ago. Of this amount, over 95.2% or 28 billion drams  were paid on direct taxes (incl. profit tax and income tax), with an  YOYgrowth of 16.2%.

At the same time, the y-o-y growth of the total volume  of plastic transactions slowed down to 22.5% in the Q1 of 2019 from  27.2% in the Q1 of 2018, making 495.2 billion drams. This is  evidenced by the data of the Central Bank of Armenia.
