The violations at the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP), as well as early financial abuses at the station, recorded by the National Security Service  (SNB) of Armenia, indicate that there were problems with proper  management to be solved. The life of  Armenian nuclear power plant can not be extended all the time, the  national expert of the United Nations on energy Ara Marjanyan said  this at a press conference in Yerevan on September 14, responding to  a question by ArmInfo about the intention of the authorities of the  country voiced by the RA Prime Minister to extend the lifetime of the  second power unit of the station until 2040.

ArmInfo. At Armenian NPP, there are "superfluous" 500 employees, who, in fact, occupy the created additional posts, and there is no  need for those . On this eve, answering citizens' questions, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a live broadcast on his Facebook page.  Nevertheless, the  Prime Minister continued, these people work, receive wages, which exerts additional pressure on the tariff in the form of 3 billion drams. "This means that this amount is taken into account in the tariff," the head of government said. According to him, so many new posts appeared for known reasons - the authorities arranged people for work in the context of elections, which was the reason for the formation of the problem.

As Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural  Resources of the Republic of Armenia Artur Grigoryan noted on July 19  at the meeting of the government, from June 1, the second unit of the  station was stopped for planned preventive repairs, its commissioning  is planned for August 1 of this year. However, during the work at the  station, some problems were identified that required unplanned  purchases.
