In Armenia, population decline with growing public debt increases per  capita debt burden

ArmInfo. In Armenia, the specific debt burden per capita continues to grow, reaching $ 3.1 thousand on October 1, 2021, against $ 2.7 thousand a year earlier. Moreover, per  capita debt burden from external debt increased from $ 2 thousand to  $ 2.3 thousand. This is due to the continuing annual growth of both  the public debt in general and external debt, in particular, with the  annual decrease in the population of Armenia by 1.1 thousand people.  - down to 2.967 million people by October 1, 2021.

Armenia`s gross international reserves increased by 30.3% per annum  by October 2021

The World Bank improved its forecast for GDP growth in Armenia for 2021 from the previous 3.4% to the updated 6.1%, suggesting, as the economy enters the phase of economic recovery, gradually abandon government support measures  and focus on creating a competitive business environment that is a  key aspect for sustainable recovery, resilience to future crises and  long-term economic growth.

EEC Forecast: Economic recovery in Armenia will be completed during  2022

ArmInfo.The EEC Department of Macroeconomic Policy has improved the forecast for GDP growth of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This was announced  during a briefing on September 22 by Iya Malkina, Assistant to the  Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).  According to  her, in 2021, GDP is expected to grow by 4.1% in the EAEU, after  reducing by 2.9% in 2020. Earlier, the Department forecasted the  growth of the EAEU GDP by 3.8%.

In July of this year by July 2020, economic  activity increased by 6.2% (against a decline of 10.2% a year  earlier), while in July 2021 alone it slowed down to 7.5% from June  12%, which was also observed in July 2020 - to 9.4% from 14.8% in  June.

Armenia`s international reserves increased by 17.7% to $ 3.1 billion  for 7 months of 2021

ArmInfo. Armenia's gross international reserves increased over 7 months of 2021 by 17.7% or by $ 463.1 million, amounting to $ 3.079 billion, as evidenced by the  data of the Central Bank of Armenia. Of these, the lion's share - $  3.073 billion - falls on foreign assets in hard currency, and the  share of SDR in the IMF amounted to $ 5.2 million. According to the  regulator's report, for 7 months of this year foreign assets in hard  currency increased by 17.9%, while the share of SDR in the IMF  decreased by 42.1%.
