ArmInfo. In the next joint action of Ameriabank with Visa, 2,700 cardholders participated, 77% of which were owners of Visa Classic and Visa Electron cards. On April 21, during the summing up of the results of the action, the project manager for retail banking and retail of Ameriabank Elen Danielyan informed that comparing with 2016 in the similar campaign the majority of participants were holders of Premium-class cards.

ArmInfo. VTB Bank Armenia launches modern  and safe tool  of internet purchases  - now also for MasterGard  Holders. According to the clarification of the press office of the  Bank, starting with March 29 the internet  purchases of  VTB Bank  Armenia  MasterCard holders  will be secured with a high level  protection based on the Secure Code  technology. This technology  gives an option to authorize the card holder immediately at the  moment of making  online payment through insertion of a single-use  password.

Drops Company jointly with Ameriabank to launch a new  payment instrument -  an  application that reduces the financial burden of individuals by  choosing the desired repayment schedule, especially in the case of  one-time large payments.The Drops company's CEO Vahagn Tsaturyan,  noting that the application will be available to the public from  April 5 this year, announced this on March 28 at the press  conference.

ArmInfo. Converse Bank launches two  campaigns devoted to the spring holidays - March 8 and April 7 - "Flowers and More". Within the framework of the first one, the Bank offers its customers to obtain Woman's cards on favourable terms starting from March 7.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, the growth  rate of non-cash transactions by plastic cards has accelerated in  2016 from 25% to 32.3%. According to the report of the Armenian  Central Bank, the volume of cashless card transactions for 2016  totaled 218.5 billion drams. Moreover, in quarter section after  falling by 15.3% in I quarter followed an increase by 21.5% in the II  quarter with an acceleration rate of up to 40.7% in the III quarter,  after which there was a sharp slowdown by 0.8% in the IV quarter.   According to the regulator, the total volume of plastic transactions  amounted 1.4 trillion drams in 2016.  However, the annual dynamics of  this index deteriorated from 13% growth to 2.1%. Parallel with this  the number of circulating cards dropped to 1.6 million units, with  the deterioration of the dynamics from 7.2% growth to 9.2% decline.  Meanwhile, three years earlier, in 2013, the total transactions  showed an increase by 10.2% with 18.1% of the increase in the number  of cards, and then in 2014 the growth of transactions accelerated to  26.3% at the growth slackening of the number of cards by 3 ,9%.

ArmInfo. The pilot launch of the  project on compatibility of Armenian Card payment system and Russian  MIR national payment system will take place by late summer 2017,  Armenian Card CEO Ishkhan Mkhitaryan says in an interview with  ArmInfo's correspondent. He notes that by late summer the national  ArCa cards will be used outside Armenia and the MIR cards will be  served by Armenian banks. 

ArmInfo. On March 1, the  National Assembly of Armenia adopted the draft amendments to the Law  "On Compulsory Funded Pension" in the second and final reading.  

ArmInfo. The compulsory  component of the funded pension system will come into effect on 1  July 2018 for all Armenian citizens born after 1 Jan 1974, Deputy  Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Nerses Yeritsyan said in the  Parliament, when presenting the amendments to the Law "On compulsory  funded pension system" in the second reading.
