ArmInfo. Armenia took the 42nd place in the ranking of doing business in Europe, compiled by the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Eurochambres).
The European Chamber is an independent organization representing the interests of national and international companies conducting business in Europe. The Eurochambres study includes an assessment of the overall business environment, legislation, government policies, the social climate and conditions that may serve as a barrier to private sector activities. The rating covers 46 countries. Each country is given an assessment for a 100-grade school. The highest score is awarded to the country with the best business conditions.
For all these indicators, Armenia has 51 points. Among the countries in the region, the highest rating was awarded to Georgia - 69 points and the 18th line in the list. Turkey took the 38th place (55 points), Russia - 42nd place (52 points), Azerbaijan - 45th place (51 points). The best country for business in Europe is Denmark, which received 86 points. The worst is Ukraine, which got 48 points. It should be noted that the Eurochambres business rating is based on the results of two studies. The first is the World Bank report "Doing Business - 2018", and the second is the Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index.
