ArmInfo. The relations of Armenia with the World Bank are consistently developing in a constructive way. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said this the day before when he received the World Bank's Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Mercy Tembon.
According to the press service of the RA Government, expressing gratitude to the Deputy Prime Minister for the reception, Mercy Tembon stated with satisfaction festive atmosphere that prevails in Armenia during the 17th summit of the Francophonie countries. She noted that all the programs implemented by the bank are aimed at improving the welfare of Armenia, the main beneficiary of which is the Armenian people.
The interlocutors during the meeting exchanged views on the process of implementation of the World Bank programs, as well as new projects. The main directions of cooperation between Armenia and the World Bank were also discussed. The parties also touched upon a joint document on the framework of partnership between Armenia and the World Bank for 2019-2022, which, in the opinion of the interlocutors, is important for the further expansion and deepening of bilateral cooperation. To note, since 1992, Armenia received from the World Bank a total amount of $ 2.3 billion in the form of loans and grants.
