ArmInfo. The delegation of Armenia will participate in the tenth session of the General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Abu Dhabi (UAE). The country's delegation will be headed by Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia Hakob Vardanyan. The corresponding decision was signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to the government website, the event will be held from January 11 to 12. All expenses associated with the participation of the Armenian delegation, will be implemented at the expense of the state budget. Hakob Vardanyan is entrusted with the task of returning to the RA Prime Minister's office a report on the results of the business trip. The International Renewable Energy Agency was founded in 2009 to support the use of all forms of renewable energy. The organization was established in Bonn on January 26, 2009 at the initiative of the German government. At the founding conference, 75 states signed the IRENA charter. At a commission meeting in June 2009, Abu Dhabi was chosen as the organization's interim headquarters.
