Areximbank-Gazprombank Group to increase SME credit portfolio
ArmInfo.Areximbank-Gazprombank Group will considerably increase the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) crediting portfolio. As Head of Deposit Department of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group Gevorg Petrosyan told ArmInfo, the bank intends to increase SME credit portfolio, including at the expense of a subordinated loan of 3.85 bln drams, recently attracted from Central Bank. According to him, this loan was provided to the bank at late January of 2010 for 10 years. Within the frames of a subordinated loan, Areximbank-Gazprombank Group will extend credits to borrowers with 5-year repayment period, 15% interest rate per annum, and the maximum credit size will not exceed 50 mln drams.
G. Petrosyan also said that 24% or 5 bln drams in the cumulative credit portfolio of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group, which makes up 21 bln drams, fall on SME credits. To note, Gazprombank LLC (Russia) is the sole shareholder of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group CJSC.
