Total net profits of Armenian insurance market for Q1 2010 amounts to $2mn


ArmInfo. Total net profits of the Armenian insurance market for Q1 2010 amounted to 713mn drams or $1.95mn, which is 12% lower than a year ago. RESO Insurance closed the quarter at 18mn drams. Inclusive of RESO Company, total net profits of the remaining 9 companies amounted to 731mn drams.

Ranking of Armenian Insurance Companies prepared by Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo) says INGO Armenia was in the lead with 136mn drams net profit, whereas net profit of Garant- Limens was the lowest (27mn drams).

ROE of the 10 companies totaled 6% and ROA - 5%. Top two companies in terms of these indicators were Nairi-Insurance (ROE-11%) and Griar-Insurance (ROA -8.2%).
