UNIStream extends cooperation in Asian region
ArmInfo. UNIStream international money transfer system, jointly with the National Savings Bank (central office in Colombo (Sri Lanka), successfully launched an integration project which gave a green light to transfers to Sri Lanka through UNIStream network.
As Unibank press service told ArmInfo, the Sri Lanka project has become another significant step for the system promotion in the Asian region where similar big projects were earlier implemented by UNIStream system in Bangladesh and China, and where further development is scheduled. The coverage of UNISTREAM system exceeds 190 000 service points in 95 countries of the world.
To recall, the UNIStream system turnover in Armenia in Jan-Jun 2010 made up $216.5 mln. Over 50% of money transfers in Armenia fall on UNIStream. The system reduced tariffs for money transfers to 1% started July 1, if the amount of transfers makes up to 3 000 USD, EUR or 100 000 Russian rubles. Transfers, the size of which exceeds 3 000 USD, EUR or 100 000 Russian rubles, are carried out by 0,45% tariff. If transfers are made in Armenian drams, the tariff for transfer, irrespective of the transfer amount, makes up 0,35%. These tariffs are valid if transfers are carried out among the own service points of Unistream and Uniastrum Banks in Russia and Unibank CJSC in Armenia.
