Turnover of noncash payments grows in Armenia
ArmInfo. In June 2010 the volume of communal payments and internet trade in Armenia amounted to 586.5 mln AMD (31029 transactions), having increased by 34,4% or by 150.3 mln AMD as compared with May 2010 (the number of transactions grew by 7,3% or by 2102 transactions). As compared with June 2009, the volume of transactions grew by 85%.
Armenian Card told ArmInfo that in the total volume of internet transactions, 259 mln AMD fell on card- to-card transfers (2721 transactions) in June 2010, having declined by 10% or by 31 mln AMD as compared with May 2010 (the number of operations declined by 78).
According to the source, in June 2010 the number of noncash operations with Armenian Card system cards in the ArCa network grew by 6,7% as compared with May 2010, and the total volume of noncash operations (with Armenian Card system cards inside and outside the ArCa network) grew by 5,7%. At the same time, the volume of transactions with the cards of other systems in the ArCa network declined by 7,2% in June 2010.
