Haypost to sell motor third party liability insurance policies via its 250 branches
ArmInfo. In the framework of its program to modernize post systems and to provide financial services, Haypost is going to sell motor third party liability insurance policies via its 250 branches.
Haypost Trust Management CEO Juan Pablo Gechidjian has not said which of the local insurance companies will act as the agent of Haypost.
The law on motor third party liability insurance will take effect Jan 1 2011.
To recall, Haypost CJSC is the national postal operator of Armenia. In 2006 the company was passed to trust of Haypost Trust Management company belonging to Postfinance company (Netherlands). In 2008 this package was re-purchased by the structures of Argentine entrepreneur of Armenian origin Eduardo Eurnekian. He is also the beneficiary of the Converse Bank (Armenia), as well as the concessionary of Zvartnots and Shirak airports.
According to ArmInfo experts, the insurance company that will be able to come to an agreement with Juan Pablo Gechidjian and signs a relevant agent agreement with Haypost will receive huge advantages on the MTPL segment.
Haypost has approximately 900 branches all over the country. Haypost is a member of Eurgiro payment system, which is called up to exchange money transfers between postal operators of Europe, as well as Secured Transfer of Electronic Financial Information payment system of the Universal Postal Union.
