ROSGOSSTRAKH-ARMENIA Insurance Company has paid over 120 million drams indemnities already


ArmInfo. ROSGOSSTRAKH-ARMENIA Insurance Company has paid out over 120 million drams MTL (motor third party liability insurance) indemnities already, the company told ArmInfo.

ROSGOSSTRAKH-ARMENIA Loss Management Department reported that since the beginning of 2010 ROSGOSSTRAKH-ARMENIA 24-Hour Contact-Center processes 6640 alarms, including 3794 in February, which is 1.5-fold more than in January. The average daily alarms totaled 112. The company has registered 1826 insurance cases since the Law on MTL came into effect, including 1030 cases in February because of the climate changes. The average daily number of road accidents for Jan and Feb totaled 26 and 37 respectively.

The statutory capital of Rosgosstrakh-Armenia is 2.13 billion drams ($6 million). The company collected 1.6 billion drams insurance premiums for 9 months of 2010. Ranking of Armenian Insurance Companies prepared by ArmInfo News Agency says the company is the leader in terms of overland motor insurance, general responsibility and financial risks. The company occupies the 2nd position in terms of property insurance against fires and natural disasters and traveler's insurance. The company has offices throughout Armenia, 10 sales offices in Yerevan and 11 in the largest regional centers.
