Nairi Insurance pays off 60 mln AMD motor third party liability insurance indemnities


ArmInfo. The insurance company Nairi Insurance has already paid off 60 mln AMD motor third party liability (MTPL) insurance indemnities, the company's press service told ArmInfo. According to the source, since MTPL introduction in the country, the company has fixed 370 road accidents (in which the company's clients were the offending party), about 320 of them have already been regulated, and 50 more road accidents are still undergoing expert examination.

According to the latest data (as of 3 March 2011), the number of insured car owners in Armenia amounts to 367.590 thsd. As of late February, the total volume pf MTPL indemnities made up 303.5 mln AMD. Since MTPL introduction in the country, insurance companies have fixed 5779 telephone calls, of them 2603 were registered in the written form.

To recall, MTPL was introduced in Armenia on 1 Jan 2011. 8 out of 9 insurance companies in Armenia operate in the MTPL segment.
