VTB Bank (Armenia) to increase credit portfolio by 20-25% in 2011
Arminfo. VTB Bank (Armenia) is going to increase its credit portfolio by 20-25% in 2011. By the end of the 1Q the volume of the credit investments of the bank amounted to 99.4 bln drams with 15% growth by the beginning of the current year, Director General of VTB Bank (Armenia), Valeriy Ovsyannikov, said at today's press-conference dedicated to the results of its 5 year activity.
Her also added that at present the bank os oriented first of all to improvement the indices of the capital collectibility, but at the same time the bank will continue actively raising and enhancing its positions in the banking system of Armenia.
For his part, financial director of the bank Yuri Gusev said that this year the bank will continue increasing the volumes of the retail as well as corporative crediting. It will also continue increasing profit, which according to the results of the 1Q amounted to 1.3 bln drams.
Valeriy Ovsyannikov also said that according to the results of the 1Q, the share of the bank in the corporative crediting segment was 8,7%. The total of 150 big companies of the country have been cooperating with the bank, including 30 companies with the Russian capital.
In the 1Q 2011 the bank gained progress in development of all the directions of business. The net profit of the bank in the 1Q amounted to 1.3 bln drams (the 3-rd position in the banking system), against 670 mln drams in the 1Q 2010 (4 position). The assets of the bank grew by 7,4% up to 136.9 bln drams (4th position). The total capital of the bank grew by 5,2% in the 1Q 2011 and amounted to 30.8 bln drams (3-rd place).
