Compulsory motor third-party liability insurance has changed the Armenian drivers' attitude towards insurance: now their road accident-related conflicts are solved in a more civilized manner, Head of the Insurance Event Regulation Department of INGO Armenia Mikael Khachatryan said during a press-conference on Thursday.
He said that in Jan-Sept 2011 the company paid over 1bln AMD in compensation for all types of insurance.
Khachatryan said that in order to further improve insurance culture among potential customers the company conducts regular awareness- raising campaigns.
"Our agents arrive at the scene within 20 minutes and settle one road event within 15 minutes. All of our cars have GPS, so, we can monitor their work on a real-time basis and can constantly improve their efficiency," Khachatryan said.
He is sure that INGO Armenia's clientele will grow due to the company's higher efficiency in settling road events.
According to ArmInfo's Ranking of Insurance Companies of Armenia, in Q2 2011 INGO Armenia collected 958.2mln AMD in premiums. The assets grew by 1.5 times to 6bln AMD. This year the company collected 2.3bln AMD in premiums.
INGO Armenia was set up in 1997 and provides 15 types of non-life insurance.
