Assets of Armenia's insurance companies total 28.8bln AMD or $77.4mln
ArmInfo. The assets of the eight insurance companies of Armenia grew by 65.3% as compared with Oct 1 2010 and dropped by 2.2% in Q3 2011 to 28.8bln AMD or $77.4mln.
According to ArmInfo's Ranking of the Insurance Companies of Armenia, all of the companies registered growth in assets, with Nairi Insurance, INGO Armenia and Sil Insurance having redoubled theirs. Only RASCO and Sil Insurance registered growth in assets in Q3 2011 - by 2.9% and 1%, respectively.
Rosgosstrakh-Armenia, INGO Armenia and Nairi Insurance have the biggest assets - 6.4bln AMD, 5.8bln AMD and 3.2bln AMD, respectively, Sil Insurance the smallest ones - 2.1bln AMD.
91.2% of the assets or 26.3bln AMD were current assets - 59.2% growth as compared with Oct 1 2010 and 1.4% growth in Q3 2011. All of the companies registered growth in current assets as compared with Oct 1 2010, only four of them in Q3 2011.
67.2% of the assets or 19.3bln AMD were current financial investments – 27.1% more than Jan 1 2011, twice as much than Oct 1 2010, 2.6% less than July 1 2011. The leaders are INGO Armenia - 4.1bln AMD, Rosgosstrakh-Armenia - 3.8bln AMD and Nairi Insurance - 2.3bln AMD. Sil Insurance is on the bottom of the list with 1.2bln AMD.
Short-term receivables totaled 4.1bln AMD: Rosgosstrakh-Armenia - 934.5mln AMD (the highest index), Sil Insurance - 90.5mln AMD (the lowest index).
The share of cash and equivalents in the assets was 2.5% or 733mln AMD, with Garant-Limens showing the highest index - 321mln AMD and Cascade Insurance the lowest one - 14.8mln AMD.
