Inflow of money transfers from Russia is increasing while that from the United States decreasing
ArmInfo. In Nov 2011 the inflow of private money transfers into Armenia totaled $142.5mln - 13.4% more than in Nov 2010.
The Central Bank of Armenia reports that the growth was due to 14.8% rise in transfers from Russia to $123.4mln.
During the same time the inflow of transfers from the United States decreased by 10.6% to $4.8mln.
In 2011 the inflow of individual transfers was expected to grow by 19- 22%.
Some 17 international money transfer systems operate in Armenia, including Contact, MoneyGram, Migom, Leaders, Zolotaya Korona, Bystraya Pochta, BLIZKO, InterExpress, Private Money. The biggest players on this market are UNISTream and Anelik.
