Over I half of 2012 transactions on purchase and sale of flats declined by 13.7% in Yerevan and by 15.9% in the regions
ArmInfo. A total of 79617 transactions were carried out in the property market of Armenia over Jan-June 2012 (13% y-o-y decline, 20.6% decline over Jan-June 2012), the State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre of Armenia told ArmInfo.
The source says that the biggest share of property transactions was registered in Yerevan (36.4%). The biggest share of transactions in the regions was fixed in Kotayk (12.2%), Gergharkunik (7.9%) and Lori (8.7%). The smallest number of transactions was in Vayots Dzor (2.3%).
In Yerevan the number of property purchase and sale transactions in Jan-June 2012 totaled 6500, of which 62.5% fell on flats in apartment buildings (13.7% decline for Jan-June 2012, 7.9% y-o-y decline). In the regions the number of such transactions was 1890 (15.9% decline for Jan-June 2012, 0.8% y-o-y decline).
The number of transactions on purchase and sale of private houses was 2308 (18.6% decline for Jan-June 2012), of them 639 in Yerevan and 1669 in the regions (21.2% decline in the regions and 10.9% decline in Yerevan).
