Assets of insurance companies of Armenia up 40% - $92.8 mln for the first half of 2012
ArmInfo. The aggregate assets of 7 insurance companies of Armenia have grown by 40% - 38.8 bln drams ($92.8 mln) for the first half of 2012.
According to Ranking of Armenian insurance companies prepared by Arminfo, the assets of insurance companies grew by 20% for the 2Q 2012 and almost twofold versus the same period of 2011. Here are the three leaders: insurance company "INGO Armenia" with an indicator - 10.1 bln drams (growth by 73%), "Rosgosstrakh Armenia" - 8.9 bln drams (growth by 36,6%) and "RESO" - 5.6 bln drams (growth by 70%).
The share of the current assets in the structure of assets of the Armenian insurance companies was 89% or 34.5 bln drams. This indicator grew by 50% versus 2011, and by 20% for the 2Q 2012. The share of the current financial investments was 54% or 21 bln drams with annual growth by 11,4%. Only in the 2Q the financial investment of Armenian insurance companies dropped by 2,5%. Here are the leaders by the volume of the current financial investments: "INGO Armenia" - 5.6 bln drams, "Rosgostrakh Armenia" - 5.5 bln drams and "RESO" - 2 bln drams. The minimal size of the current financial investments was fixed at "Sil Insurance" company - 1.3 bln drams.
The short term receivables of 7 insurance companies of Armenia amounted to 11.6 bln drams for the first half of 2012. This indicator grew by more than four times versus the first half of 2011, and twofold for the 2Q. The maximal volume of the short term receivables was fixed at "RESO" - 2 bln drams, and the minimal at "Sil Insurance" - 124.4 mln drams. As of 1 July 2012, the share of the money means and their equivalents in general assets was 2,4% or 930.8 mln drams. This indicator dropped by 10,7% versus the same period of 2011 and by 23,6% for the 2Q.
