Incomes of Armenian insurance companies grow but profits drop
Arminfo. The aggregate net profit of 7 insurance companies of Armenia for the first half of 2012 amounted to 487.6 mln drams ($1.1 mln.) and dropped by 75,1% versus the same period of 2011.
According to the Ranking of insurance companies prepared by ArmInfo, 6 out of 7 insurance companies finished the first half of 2012 with profit. "RASKO" is the first - with a profit - 203.7 mln drams. Then comes "Rosgostrakh Armenia" - 165.1 mln drams. "INGO Armenia" is the third - 74.1 mln drams. The minimal profit was fixed at "Sil Insurance" - 28 mln drams. The insurance company "Garant Insurance" finished the first half of 2012 with a loss - 112.3 mln drams.
The insurance companies of Armenia provided 443 mln drams of net profit for the 2Q 2012. The aggregate net profit of Armenian insurance companies dropped by 42,6% versus the same period of 2011. "INGO Armenia" was the first by the level of profit for the 2Q 2012 with an indicator 251.5 mln drams. "RASCO" is the second - 197.2 mln drams, "Nairi Insurance" is the third - 148 mln drams and "RESO" is the forth - 127.3 mln drams. "Sil Insurance" is the fifth - 42.5 mln drams. "Rosgosstrakh Armenia" finished the 2Q 2012 with a loss 180 mln drams and "Garant Insurance" with a loss - 143.7 mln drams.
