Chairman of Armenian Central Bank to attend 22nd Frankfurt European Banking Congress
ArmInfo. Chairman of the Armenian Central Bank Arthur Javadyan will attend the 22nd Frankfurt European Banking Congress on Nov 22-23, the CB press-service reports.
The Armenian CB's delegation comprises also Andranik Grigoryan, Head of the Department for Stability and Development of the Financial System, and Ashot Osipyan, Head of the union of Banks of Armenia. Arthur Javadyan is expected hold a number of meetings with some European centrals banks and financial institutions.
The source reports that the keynote speakers at the Congress are Mario Draghi, President of the European Central Bank, Wolfgang Schauble, Head of German Bundesbank and others.
Representatives of IMF, EBRD, international banking corporations, and research centers and institutions will attend the event.
The Frankfurt European Banking Congress (EBC) premiered in 1991 on the initiative of the International Bankers Forum (IBF). From 1992 to 2008, the congress was hosted annually by Germany's leading banks based in Frankfurt am Main - Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Bank - as well as by the Deutsche Bundesbank, the City of Frankfurt am Main, and the IBF. The EBC aims at providing a forum for open and forward oriented discussion of European issues, their role in the world of politics and financial markets.
