In Jan-Oct 2012 Areximbank-Gazprombank Group increased the amount of money transfers by individuals by 42%
ArmInfo. In Jan-Oct 2012 as compared with Jan-Oct 2011 Areximbank-Gazprombank Group increased the amount of money transfers by individuals by 42% to $16.6mln. The number of the transfers grew from 28,235 to 38,429, Deputy CEO of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group Ruben Khachatryan told journalists on Thursday.
He said that most of the transfers were to and from Russia and the United States. In Jan-Oct 2012 the amount of transfers between Armenia and Russia totaled $13.9mln (21,864 transfers), between Armenia and the United States $625,600 (1,242), between Armenia and Ukraine $463,200 (682).
Khachatryan said that the total amount of money transfers continued to decline. "This is a general tendency in Armenia's banking system. In our bank it dropped by 9%," Khachatryan said.
Areximbank-Gazprombank Group transfers money through Bystraya Pochta, Contact, MoneyGram, Blizko, Anelik and UNIsteam.
