Central Bank of Armenia approves Converse Bank's participation in UNIstream money transfer system
ArmInfo. The Central Bank of Armenia has approved Converse Bank's participation in UNIstream money transfer system. The press service of the CBA told ArmInfo that the CBA Board too this decision at today's session. According to Converse Bank, its also carries out international money transfers via MoneyGram, Intelexpress and Bystraya Pochta.
To note, UNIstream carries out instant money transfers among the CIS countries and to some non-CIS countries. The transfers are made in USD, EUR and RUR. In addition to Converse Bank, the following banks had also joined UNIstream: ACBACredit Agricole Bank, Armenian Development Bank, Areximbank-Gazprombank Group, Artsakhbank, Prometey Bank, VTB Bank (Armenia), Ardshininvestbank, Armbusinessbank, INECOBANK, ARARATBANK, and Armeconombank. UNIstream has 13 partners in Armenia, including Unibank.
Converse Bank CJSC has been operating since 1993. The shareholders of the Bank are Advanced Global Investments LLC (controlled by Argentinean businessman Eduardo Eurnekian) with a 95% stake in the capital and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin with a 5% stake.
