"The data of the State Revenue Committee show that banks worked with profits in 2012, ensuring 42.7 bln drams profits with a 15% growth versus 2011," Osipyan said. In 2012 all the Armenians banks, a total of 21, were included in the list of 1000 big taxpayers of Armenia, with 11 banks were among top 100 taxpayers, versus 9 banks in 2011. he said.
By data of the Committee, top five big taxpayer banks for 2012 were ACBA-Credit Agricole Bankk, HSBC Bank Armenia, Ameriabank, VTB Bank (Armenia) and Armbusinessbank. ACBA-Credit Agricole retained its leadership position with 3.642 bln drams taxes, including 3.257 bln drams profit and incomes taxes (21st position in the list of the big taxpayers).
HSBC-Bank Armenia proved the 33rd with 2.762 bln drams, including 2.411 bln drams profit and incomes taxes. Ameriabank was the 35th with 2.609 bln drams, with 2.448 bln drams profit and income taxes. VTB Bank (Armenia) proved the 42nd with 2.286 bln drams, with 1.960 bln drams profit and income taxes. The last in the top five taxpayer-banks was Armbusinessbank - 51st place with 1.757 bln drams, including 1.597 bln drams profit and income taxes.
The following banks were also included in the top 100 big taxpayer of Armenia: Ardshininvestbank (58th place with 1.586 bln drams, with 1.513 bln drams profit and income taxes), Unibank (62nd place with 1.406 bln drams, 1.1291 bln drams profit and income taxes), ARARATBANK (66th place - 1.337 bln drams, with 1.129 bln drams profit and income taxes), INECOBANK (77th place with 1.235 bln drams, including 1.207 bln drams profit and income taxes), Areximbank-Gazprombank Group (89th with 1.073 bln drams, including 938 mln drams profit and income taxes), and Mellat Bank (92nd with 1.016 bln drams. including 1.011 bln drams income and profit taxes).
The top 200 taxpayers of Armenia comprised Converse Bank - 106th place with 875.4 mln drams (769.5 mln drams profit and income taxes), Armeconombank - 114th with 819.7 mln drams (742.9 mln drams), Bank Prometey - 129th place with 742.1 mln drams (685.4 mln drams), Bank Anelik - 161st with 585.2 mln drams (519.8 mln drams), ProCredit Bank - 194th with 486.3 mln drams (388.1 mln drams), ArmSwissbank - 198th place - 478.7 mln drams (460.9 mln drams), and Armenian Development Bank - 199th place with 477.5 mln drams (466 mln drams).
At the same time, top 1000 big taxpayers of Armenia comprised Byblos Bank Armenia - 228th place with 408.6 mln drams (371.6 mln drams profit and income taxes), BTA Bank - 774th place with 107.7 mln drams (95.3 mln drams), Artsakhbank - 886th place with 91 mln drams (86.9 mln drams).
According to the Ranking of the Commercial Banks of Armenia by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), in 2012 the top five leaders in terms of pretax profit were HSBC Bank Armenia - 9.458 bln AMD, Ameriabank - 7.734 bln AMD, Ardshininvestbank - 6.238 bln AMD, ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank -5.757 bln AMD, and VTB Bank (Armenia) - 5.689 bln AMD.
