In 2012 Armenia's insurance companies paid over 1.5bln AMD in taxes
ArmInfo. There are seven insurance companies among the 1000 biggest taxpayers for 2012.
Rosgosstrakh has the highest rank, the 246th, with 375.1mln AMD paid.
The State Income Committee of Armenia reports that INGO Armenia is the 250th with 372mln AMD paid, Nairi Insurance is the 342nd with 267mln AMD paid. RESO paid 246mln AMD, Armeia Insurance 125.8mln AMD, Cascade Insurance 107.7mln AMD (in mid 2012 it merged with INGO Armenia), Garant Insurance 100.2mln AMD. Sil Insurance sustained losses last year and is therefore not on the list.
According to ArmInfo's Ranking of Insurance Companies of Armenia, as of Oct 1 2012 the aggregate net profit of Armenia's insurance companies made up 1.1bln AMD (50.1% less than in 2011). RESO had the biggest net profit - 345.4mln AMD, Armenia Insurance was the second with 336.1mln AMD, Nairi Insurance the third with 259.3mln, INGO Armenia the fourth with 116.8mln AMD, Garant Insurance the 5th with 100.6mln, Rosgosstrakh Armenia the 6th with 59.2mln AMD.
