Housing prices up in all administrative districts in Yerevan in April
ArmInfo. Average market prices of housing in Armenia grew 0.5% in Apr versus Mar 2013 to 183.3 thousand drams/ sq m. As compared to Apr 2012, housing in Armenia grew in price 4.6%. According to the State Real Estate Register of Armenia, housing price in Yerevan in Apr 2013 totaled 279,000 drams per sq m and in the regions - 87.7 thousand drams per sq m in average. As compared to Apr 2013, the housing prices in Yerevan and regions grew 6.7% and 2.6%, respectively. Apartmennts in residential buildings grew in price 0.6% in the country in average to 178.5 ths drams per sq m in April and 4.1% versus April 2012. In Yerevan apartment prices grew to 271.4 thousand drams per sq m and in the regions - to 85.7 ths drams per sq m in April. As compared to April 2012, the prices of apartments in Yerevan grew 7.7% and in the regions - 0.5%. Prices of private houses grew 0.4% both in the capital city and in the regions in average to 188.1 ths drams per sq m in April and 5.5% versus April 2012 (5.7% in Yerevan and 4.6% in the regions).
Housing grew in price in April in all the administrative districts in Yerevan. The highest prices are traditionally in the city center - 428 ths drams per sq m, with a 0.4% growth for April and 5.7% versus April 2012. Then goes Arabkir where apartments in residential buildings cost 383 ths drams per sq m with a 0.5% growth for April and 5.1% vs. April 2012. The lowest prices are traditionally in Nubarashen community - where private houses grew in price 0.6% in April and 4.2% vs. April 2012 to 155.5 ths drams per sq m while apartments grew in price 2% in April and 7.8% over the year to 271.4 ths drams per sq m in average. In the regions housing prices changed insignificantly. The highest prices are in Tsakhkadzor, Kotayk region - 292.5 ths drams per sq m (no changes for April) and 0.2% growth over the year. Then go Abovyan (Kotayk region) and Vagharshapat (Armavir region) - by 154 ths drams per sq m (no changes for April and 2% over the year). The prices of private houses are the highest in the given three towns.
