Armenia's Agriculture Minister meets with Ingosstrakh official
ArmInfo. Armenia's Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan met on Thursday with Head of the Agri- industrial Insurance Department of Ingosstrakh OJSC Delyara Sangadzhiyeva and managers of Ingo-Armenia CJSC.
The press service of Armenia's Agriculture Ministry reports that Karapetyan and Sangadzhiyeva discussed Ingosstrakh's agriculture insurance projects. Sangadzhiyeva said that the company had such projects all over Russia.
Karapetyan said that he had suggested creating a working group to set guidelines for developing agriculture insurance in Armenia in the following five years.
The minister offered the guests to present relevant projects related to insurance of agricultural equipment and cattle breeding. The negotiating sides stressed the importance of agricultural insurance and pointed out that it is a necessary prerequisite for further development of agriculture and long- term and reliable protection against natural disasters and other force-majeure situations. The minister of agriculture emphasized that insurance is a unique instrument to ensure employment, prevent migration and reduce poverty, and it has proved its worth in the developed economies of the world.
