Yerevan to host conference on strategy for progressive development of insurance in Armenia


ArmInfo. On Wednesday Slavonic University (Yerevan) will host a conference on strategy for progressive development of insurance in Armenia. The organizers of the event are the Central Bank, the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen, Slavonic University and Prime Insurance Brokers.

According to Prime Insurance Brokers, the conference is expected to be attended by over 40 organizations, including the Parliamentary Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, the economy and finance ministries, the Financial Ombudsman's Office, the Union of Banks, the Bureau of Car Insurers, Yerevan State University, Armenian State Economics University, Armenian National Agrarian University, banks, insurance companies and insurance brokers.

The conferees will consider the prospects of insurance in Armenia as well as will make recommendations on how to improve methodologies and regulations in the sector, to enhance the qualification of insurers and to make insurance better known and more attractive.

There are six insurance companies and two insurance brokers in Armenia.
