ArmInfo. In 9 months of 2015, Armenia's gross international reserves grew by 9% to $1.626bln after a 34% decline in 2014, the Central Bank of Armenia has told ArmInfo. As compared to September 2014, this index dropped by 2.3%. For Q3 alone, gross international reserves increased by 5.2% due to 10.2% growth in July, despite certain decline in August and September.
The share of SDR in the IMF dropped from $41.7mln in 2013 to $1.9mln, and were later up 3.3-fold to $6.2mln. Since early 2015 the SDR in IMF has been falling - 94% to $409.1 thousand for 9 months. For Q3 alone, SDR in IMF fell by 59%, mainly in August.
For comparison, in 2009 gross international reserve grew by 43% to $2.004bln, by 7% to $1.866 bln in 2010, 3.6% to $1.933bln in 2011, and was down by 7% to $1/799bln in 2013. In 2013, due to the solid intervention in September, the reserves grew by 25% to $2.252bln.
The SDR in IMD in 2009 grew by 42.4% to $124.7mln ($140.6mln in September). It was down 73.1% to $33.5mln in 2010 but grew 70.1% to $57mln in 2011 and than again fell 44.4% to $31.7mln and even more in 2013 totaling $1.9mln.
To note, the share of bank gold in Armenia's gross international reserves was zeroed in Dec 2003.
