ArmInfo. Today one of the main areas of activities of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC is exclusion of previous fraudulent practice of falsification of figures and other violations. This was mentioned in the clarifications of the company related to some statements of mass media.
As it is mentioned in the clarification, Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC demands fair and highly professional work from its staff. In case violations are found the worker will be brought to justice up to dismissal or comensation for the damage, while the registered violation will be clarified and recalculation ill be done. Touching upon the dissatisfaction of a number of consumers the authors of clarification noted that it may be caused by a simple reason that compared to last winter the mechanisms of charge and subsidizing of payments for electricity have changed and control of its sale/purchase has been tightened. Decrease of level of losses by 2%, which helped to reach the indicator set by the Public Service Regulatory Commission, testifies to this.
In any case in order to avoid misunderstanding it is necessary to present certain facts to the company. Till today study of all the complaints from the consumers testify to absence of any violations. All the consumers may present their complaints and proposals by (010) 652453, 1-80 number, by email or meet personally with the CEO of the company. Reception days are the same: each Saturday between 9:30am to 1:00pm. Substantiated response to all the statements will be given in set terms. "It is noteworthy to mention that in current complex social conditions our main goal is to be near the consumer. Interests of each consumer are a priority for us," the clarification reads.
As for the 30 mln USD loan attracted from the World Bank for financial recovery of Armenian energy sector, the Company notes in its clarification that the company fulfills all its previous obligations exclusively in the expense of its own funds, consequently these funds are covered in the tariff, which came into force on August 1, 2015 and will last to August 1, 2016. As of today there is a strict schedule, on the basis of which the company will completely fulfill its obligations toward power generating enterprises till August 1, 2016 and will pay off the previous debts. Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC has not attracted and will not attract any loans aimed at recovery from the government or by guarantees of the government. Financing of the World Bank is aimed at assisting state energy companies and does not have any relation to the debts of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC.
Touching upon the issue of subsidizing tariffs on electricity the company notes that this issue is solved on parity basis by Tashir charity fund and Armenian government. In total, since August 2015 till February 2016 the number of consumers who took advantage of subsidies totaled 780 thousand, which makes 78% of all the consumers, 760 thousand or 81% of them are inhabitant-consumers and 22 thousand or 31% are other consumers. During these months 562 mln KW/h electricity was subsided amounted to 3.8 bln AMD, which were paid by Armenian government and Tashir charitable fund 50%-50%. CEO of Electric Networks of Armenia will respond to these and other questions in the nearest future.
