ArmInfo. In Jan-Feb 2016, the nominal wages in Armenia made up 177,670 AMD ($363), with a 2.5% year-over-year growth and a 0.1% rise in Feb alone. In Feb 2016 versus Feb 2015, the nominal salary grew by 2.4%.
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in Jan-Feb 2016 the average salary in the state-run organizations amounted to154,749 AMD ($316), which was by 0.4% less than in Jan-Feb 2015. The salary in non-budgetary organizations rose by 5.4% over year to 209,944 AMD ($429). In Feb 2016, the wages in state-run organizations rose by 0.3%, and those in the non-budgetary ones underwent no changes. As compared with Feb 2015, the wages in the state-run companies dropped by 0.5%, while those in non-budgetary organizations grew by 5.4%.
In Feb 2016, the average AMD/USD exchange rate was 493.64 AMD/$1, in Jan-Feb 2016 - 489.84 AMD/$1 (versus 478.39 AMD/$1 in Feb 2015 and 477.06 AMD/$1 in Jan-Feb 2015).
