ArmInfo. Under the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant modernization project, Rusatom Service JSC and Armenian NPP CJSC held a "Seminar generating equipment suppliers for Armenian NPP" in Yerevan on April 8 to present the advanced technological solutions to the NPP representatives.
The participants discussed the results of the integrated survey of the generating equipment of the Armenian NPP's power unit No.2. Representatives of the producer companies made reports on the competences and experience in the field of designing, producing, repairing and modernizing generating equipment. The tendencies and innovations in the field were presented at the event. Representatives of the key generating equipment producer companies participated in the seminar. Among them were Power Machines OJSC, NGO "ELSIB" JSC, Siemens AG, and General Electric LLC in Russia.
The Armenian NPP representatives voiced their questions concerning the parameters and other details of the generating equipment to be supplied to the plant. The purchase of the equipment will be organized by tender in line with the requirements of the Single Industry Standard of Rosatom State Corporation.
In December 2014, the Russian and Armenian Governments signed an agreement of cooperation in the implementation of the Lifetime Extension Project of unit No.2 of Armenian NPP. In February 2015, an agreement for export loan for financing of the Armenian NPP lifetime extension project was signed. In June 2015, Rusatom Service JSC and the Armenian NPP CJSC signed a contract on implementation of the measures, supplies and service for the Lifetime Extension Project of unit No.2 of Armenian NPP.
