At the moment, Gazprom Armenia is working at the general plan for development and reconstruction of the gas supply system till 2030, which will be submitted for approval of the Armenian Government, Vardan Harutyunyan, Chairman of the Board and Director General of Gazprom Armenia, told reporters on May 31.
He added that in the future Gazprom Armenia intends to increase the production capacities. "The company's fixed costs included in the gas tariffs will remain unchanged. At the same time, the increase in the production capacities and, consequently, bigger consumption of gas
will result in tariff reduction," he said.
To note, Gazprom Armenia's investments in development of the gas transmission network in 2013-2015 amounted to 14.3 bln AMD.
Gazprom Armenia is a 100% subsidiary of Gazprom (Russia). It is the sole supplier and distributor of the Russian gas, which is delivered in transit via Georgia.
