ArmInfo. Contracts worth 10 bln USD were concluded over 2 days of ATOMEXPO-2016 forum, Sergei Kirienko, Chief Executive Officer of ROSATOM, said at a briefing in Moscow on May 31.
He said that in 2016 the total portfolio of ROSATOM orders will amount to $136 bln. All the concluded contracts inclusive, this indicator has made up almost $300 bln. Kirienko praised the results of the forum. Some 4,500 people from 55 countries and 92 companies participated in the forum. Over 30 agreements were signed. Kirienko said that the development of the nuclear power engineering is an opportunity for sustainable development of various countries'
economies. Many countries, including Tanzania, Finland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Bolivia, etc. already acknowledge the importance of developing nuclear power engineering. At the moment, Rosatom is building a total of 34 nuclear power units in the world. The contracts cover not only construction of power units, but also fuel supply for 60-100 years, as well as decommissioning of plants.
