ArmInfo. In Jan-May 2016 versus Jan-May 2015, the ferromolybdenum output in Armenia dropped by 12.8% to 2 312 tons. The National Statistical Service of Armenia reports that in May alone the ferromolybdenum output made up 500 tons (8.2% more than in April 2016).
In Jan-May 2016, the output of molybdenum concentrate dropped by 10.9% to 4238 tons (up 23.9% to 999 tons in May 2016); blister cooper output rose by 33.1% to 5255 tons in Jan- May 2016 (up 6.6% to 976 tons in May 2016); copper concentrate output grew by 28.6% to 157.9 thsd tons in Jan-May 2016 (up 3.8% to 33.1 thsd tons in May 2016).
The aluminum foil output in Armenia dropped by 4.4% to 12441 tons in Jan-May 2016 versus Jan-May 2015 (down 4.8% to 2552 tons in May 2016); the output of steel pipes fell by 49.4% to 2202 tons ((down 29.9% to 465 tons in May 2016); zinc concentrate output declined by 56.9% to 2469 tons (down 21.8% to 337 tons in May 2016).
All metals manufactured in Armenia are exported mostly to Europe and the United States.
