ArmInfo. Gazprom Armenia CJSC (former ArmRusgasprom) was the largest taxpayer of Armenia for first half of 2016, as it paid 24.6bln drams to the state budget, including 208 mln drams customs taxes, 4bln drams direct taxes (including
profit tax and income tax), 20.3bln drams indirect taxes (including VAT and excise tax).
According to data of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, top five taxpayers paid 51.9bln drams taxes in total, of which 14.4bln drams direct taxes (including profit tax and income tax) and 38,7bln indirect taxes (including VAT and excise tax).
The second big taxpayer of Armenia is Grand Tobacco Armenian-Canadian JV that forced down to the third place the Electric Networks of Armenia. Teghout Company was up to the 4th place from last year's 18th. Alex Grig LLC is the 5th (down from 4th place). Top ten taxpayers' list including International Airports of Armenia (6th
versus last year's 25th place), ArmenTel (trademark Beeline) (7th places vs 5th), Flesh oil trader (8th place vs 7th), CPS Oil Corporation (9th place vs 10th), Armenian NPP (10th place vs 8th ). Grand Tobacco paid 11.8bln drams taxes, ENA - 9.2 bln drams, Teghout - 7.8bln drams, and Alex Grig - 7.3bln drams.
In the 1st half of 2015, top 5 taxpayers were Gazprom Armenia, Zangezour Copper and Molybdenum Combine, ENA, Alex Gric, and ArmenTel. These companies paid a total of 53bln drams taxes to the budget. (the exchange rate for June 6 2016 was 476.68AMD/1USD).
