ArmInfo. By June 2016, the customer base of the Armenian banking system had 2,325,278 individuals (5.2% year-over-year growth) and 77,398 legal entities (2% year-over-year decline). According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, as many as 2,402,676 customers had 4,400,541 accounts in Armenian banks, including 4,218,002 accounts of individuals and 182,539 accounts of legal entities (9% and 3.7% year-over-year growth, respectively).
As compared with the same period of 2015, the number of customers grew by 4.9% or 113,065 clients, while the number of accounts rose by 8.8%.
Since the beginning of 2016, the customer base of Armenian banks has grown by 3.3%, with the number of legal entities increasing by 1.4%, and the number of individuals - by 3.3%. Since early 2016, the number of accounts in the banks has risen by 5%, with the number of legal entities' accounts growing by 3.5%, and the number of individuals' accounts rising by 5.1%.
