ArmInfo. On the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year, the employees of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group have presented "Russia-Armenia. Regions of Russia and Marzes of Armenia" unique encyclopedia to the schools of Noravan and Lukashin communities of Armavir Marz. The encyclopedia gives an answer to any question related to Armenian- Russian relations, the Bank's press office has told ArmInfo.
"The encyclopedia is a fundamental reference book that summarizes and systemizes the information about specific events and phenomena that took place in the history, economy and cultural life of our countries and nations," says Alexander Hakobyan, Head of Marketing and Advertising at Areximbank-Gazprombank Group.
The book consists of the following sections: Geography, Mineral Resources, History, Population, Religion, Power, Economy, Social Services, Places of Interest, Development Strategies of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia. The book also contains various thematic articles and speeches of prominent statesmen. Special attention is paid to the information about outstanding personalities, politicians of the past centuries and present-day figures; settlements, natural and historical monuments; educational and cultural establishments; agricultural and industrial enterprises, etc. From the Russian side, the science editor of the encyclopedia is Professor Mikhail Sevruk, Rector of the "Sodruzhestvo" International University. From the Armenian side, the activities over the book were headed by Vazgen Safaryan, Chairman of the Local Producers of Armenia, Chairman of the Commission for Financial-Economic and Budget Issues at the Public Council of Armenia. "Those who assisted the encyclopedia authors include prominent statesmen of Russia and Armenia, lawmakers, members of the Federation Council of Russia, heads of entities and marzes, Russian Embassy in Armenia, as well as our shareholder Gazprombank (Russia). So, it is natural that at a certain stage Areximbank also joined the project. Today we have presented several books to the schoolchildren, attaching the great Russian writer Dostoyevsky's words to them - 'Read books and life will do the rest'," Hakobyan says.
To note, the sole owner of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group CJSC, which was founded in 1998, is Gazprombank OJSC (Russia), which is among the top 3 largest banks of Russia.
