ArmInfo. Menu.am Company  offered Ameriabank to develop a new system of online payments. The  special feature of this system is that the client needs to indicate  his or her card data only once and then enjoy shopping without having  to enter the card data again, the press-service of the bank informs.

According to the source Ameriabank ensured a high data security level  for this solution by saving client payment card data only in the  centralized processing center using Master Card Secure Code and  Verified by Visa (VbV) security technologies.

According to "Armenian Banks in Card Business" analytical review  prepared by ArmInfo, Ameriabank enters top ten by the number of  active cards-around 69 thousand as of April 1 2016, more than 70% of  which are Visa cards. Besides local ArCa cards the Bank issues and  services international Visa and MasterCard cards. The share of salary  cards in total number of active cards is 64%. The bank has increased  the number of active cards almost by 10% y-o-y mainly due to  international MasterCard (44.5% growth) and Visa (12% growth). In  terms of plastic transactions Ameriabank is among top five ensuring  amount of 112 bln drams in 2015 (12% y-o-y growth), 68% of which are  the share of ATM transactions. The bank holds the third place by the  number of POS-terminals -951, and the 5th place by ATM network-112  ATMs.  In five-year term (2011-2016) the total number of active cards  of the bank increased almost 4-fold, particularly ArCa-2.5-fold,  Visa-4.3-fold, MasterCard-2.5-fold, the amount of plastic  transactions-4-fold, the amount of ATM transactions-2.3-fold, the  number of own POS-terminals-by 670 and ATMs-by 43. 

To note, Ameriabank is a universal bank providing investment,  corporate and retail banking services. Its shareholders are Ameria  Group CY Ltd (79.3%) and EBRD (20.7%).
