ArmInfo. In the near future Armenia will present a package of investment programs to its Russian partners. Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan made this statement during the meeting with Governor of Rostov Region Vasiliy Golubyev a day before.
According to him, as the press service of the Government reported, there is a huge capacity for economic cooperation. The prime minister trusted that Vasiliy Golubyev's participation will enhance Armenian-Russian interregional cooperation. He considered development of cooperation in the fields of agriculture, tourism, industry, energy and transport as promising.
For its part the Governor of Rostov Region noted that they are ready to take steps to boost development of cooperation with the regions and businesses in Armenia.
It should be reminded that a day before Governor of Rostov Region Vasiliy Golubyev and Minister of Territorial Administration and Development of Armenia David Lokyan signed an agreement on trade and economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation. Foreign trade turnover of Rostov Region with Armenia according to the results of the first six months of 2016 totaled $14.4 billion, including export-$12.8 billion, import-$1.6 billion. In its turn Armenia's share in foreign trade turnover in Rostov Region didn't exceed 1%. Parties consider that the agreement will help enhance the economic and scientific-cultural cooperation.
