Gazprom Armenia retains its leadership position among the largest taxpayers of Armenia, in Jan-Sep of 2016 the company paid 29.8bln drams taxes to the state budget, 237 mln drams of which are custom duties, 5.6 bln drams-direct taxes (including income tax, tax on profit), 24.3 bln drams-indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).
According to the data of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia the top-5 taxpayers have paid 87.1 bln drams, 33.2 bln of which are direct taxes (income tax, profit tax) and 53.8 bln -indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).
The second position among TOP-5 taxpayers belongs to Grand Tobacco Canadian- Armenian JV - more than 16.5 bln drams. Vorotan Cascade of HPP goes the third with 15.6 bln drams, Electric Networks of Armenia rose to the fourth position from the previous year's 5th place paying 14.1 bln drams. Alex Grig LLC rounds out the TOP-5 with more than 11.1bln drams rising from the previous 6th position.
Teghout mining company goes 6th (versus 18th position in previous year), K-Telecom (trademark VIVACell-MTS) ranks 7th (versus 4th position in previous year), CPS Oil Corporation is the 8th (versus 10th position in previous year), Flash OJSC holds the 9th position (no changes over year), "Armenia Telephone Company" CJSC (Beeline trademark) is the 10th versus the 7th place in previous year.
To note in Jan-Sep 2015 TOP-5 taxpayers in Armenia were Gazprom Armenia CJSC (retains leadership since 2012), Zangezour Copper and Molybdenum Combine, Vorotan Cascade of HPP, K-Telecom and Electric Networks of Armenia. In overall these companies paid 94.2 bln drams taxes. (Exchange rate of dram against US dollar was 474.46 AMD/$1 on September 30 2016).
