ArmInfo. During 2017-2019 the tota of capital expenditures of
Gazprom Armenia JSC will form AMD 34,74 bln, AMD 26,92 bln from which will be allocated for gas transportation and AMD 7,80 bln for gas distribution systems. The Public Services Regulating Commission of Armenia (PSRC) on December 14 approved the Gazprom JSC Investment Program for the years of 2017-2019.
According to Hrant Tadevosyan, the Director General of the Company, the Investment program is aimed at securing the conditions of proper, sustainable and safe gas supplies through capital investments. In 2017 investments will form AMD 3,24 bln, including AMD 1,292 bln for gas transportation system and AMD 1,952 bln to gas distribution system. In 2018 - 15, 3 bln will be invested, with AMD 13,23 bln and AMD 1,96 bln to gas transportation and gas distribution systems respectively. In 2019, AMD from 14 bln planned AMD 11,34 bln and 2,76 bln will be allocated for gas transportation and gas distribution systems respectively.
Within the framework of 2017-2019 Investment Program with its total cost of AMD 32,53 bln (without VAT), the modernization of the Abovyan underground gas reservoir and improvement of the transportaion and distribution systems is planned, as well as the connection of 8-10 thousand subscribers annually. As of December 1, 2016, 677 973 subscribers are connected to the gas network of the Republic. For today, 613 habitant sites are using natural gas, 568 of which - rural, and 45 - urban. For 11 months of this year the number of actual connections to Gazprom increased for 7147, 1117 from which - in November. Gazprom Armenia, which is 100% subsidiary of Russian Gazprom Holding, is occupied in natural gas supplies for Armenian domestic market. The Company also deals with transportation, storage, distribution and sales of natural gas, reconstruction and expansion of gas transportation systems and underground gas storages in the Republic.
