ArmInfo. Suren karayan, the Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investments met Michael Byurc, an Irish businessmen occupied in the sector of pharmaceuticals industry.
According to the information of the press office of Armenian Minisry of Economic Development, Karayan presented to the Irish businessmen all the options and prospectives of Armmenian pharmaceutical industry. According him, the single pharmaceutical market under the EEU framework , which became effective on January 1, 2016, is an essential tool for the development of the sector and export. As Minister mentioned, the procedures of drugs registration is essentially simplified. Michael Byurc stated he is interested in producing packs for medicines in Armenia. According to the businessman proposal, the cooperation will be set with the Ireland Enterprise and Irish Development Fund, which have positive experience in working with governments, investors and business entities.
To mention, according to Armenian National Statistics Service, during January-October 2016, the pharmaceutical industries volumes formed AMD 7,1 bln, with an annual growth at 2,2%. The pharmaceutical share in processing industry forms less than 1%.
