The final stage of the bidding procedure on property management sector consulting services operator started at the State Committee on Water Resources under the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources. The tender procedure is being held within the framework of German KfW bank grant project.
According to the information of the Water Resources State Committee press office, the technical reference for bidders is developed by independent experts within the funding of KfW. 11 bids were received at the first stage and were reviewed both by independent experts and the Bank experts. In the result of preliminary review 5 bids were short listed, and 4 companies entered the second stage, because the fifth announced a participation rejection. An evaluation commission was formed under the chairmanship of Arsen Harutyunyan, the Head of Water Resources State Committee , to review and evaluate the bids submitted. The results of the tender are expected to be announced in two week term. As it was reported earlier, at the State Committee on Water Resources under the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia a platform will be set for investments analysis approach strategy development.
ArmInfo was informed at the press office of the State Committee on Water Resources, following the Chairman of the Committee Arsen Harutyunyan, the water supply network enters another stage of development, which is quite different I its quality. Strategies on potable water and irrigation networks were developed and implemented. During recent 10-12 years only in the aspect of potable water supply network an amount at over $230 mln, the irrigation network was funded more. Due to investments implemented , the State Committee on Water Resources became one of the largest administrators of state property. At that, according to Harutyunyan, the feasible and consequent management of the property is a serious task for state entities.
At the same time, according to the Committee Chairman, while in the aspect of potable water a great work is done, the irrigation network still waits for works to be done from zero. The upcoming development of this sector is preconditioned by the Public-Private Partnership. " Upon the completion of this project we expect to have a strategy on property management, the necessary software, property management state system and development projects. Hence, regardless of who will reach the final line, our expectations of the project implementation are pretty great,"Harutyunyan stated.
