Armenia to launch vehicles electronic passports from July 1 2017

ArmInfo. According to decision of the Eurasian Economic Committee, in Armenia, Russia, Kirghizia, Kazakhstan and Belarus of transportation facilities  should be registered with electronic passports from July 1 of the current year.

Any national buying a car after July 1 will not get FTC paper. After the validation of this law all the data regarding former and actual owners will be kept only in electronic database. If it is necessary, that the car owner could get them upon request .The Traffic Police Officers will receive free access to FTC electronic database.

All the car manufacturers  must launch  electronic passports system from July 1, and for foreign makes imports the  electronic database will be led by Russian Customs Authorities. For the complete work of the future project appropriate legal initiatives are needed. They will prescribe digital form of the document- FTC and the possibilities of car production in electronic database of the document.  All these law projects must be received before July 1, in other words before the validation of Eurasian agreement.
