ArmInfo. Armenian metal production industry in Jan-Feb 2017 grew versus the same period of 2016 the extent of production by 3.5% versus 8.5% annual decrease. According to Armenian National Statistic Service data, in Jan-Feb 2017 ferromolybdenum production in Armenia versus the same period of 2016 grew by 36.1% forming 1 162 ton, versus the decrease of 19.6% a year ago.Only in February 573 ton of ferromolybdenum was produced, which is less for 2.7% of January's extent.
For first two months the concentrate of molybdenum grew by 11.9% to 1 804 ton, versus the decrease by 13.7% a year ago. Only for February the production decreased by 9.7% to 856 ton. The production of blister copper decreased by 17.4% to 1917 ton, versus the growth by 46.4% a year ago. The production of copper concentrate grew y 2.5% to 63.6 thousand ton, versus the growth 45.3% a year ago. Monthly (Feb- Jan) the extent of cooper concentrate production increased by 0.6% to 31.9 thousand ton. The production of zinc concentrate grew by 13.5% in Jan-Feb to1247 ton, versus 48% decrease a year ago. In February the extent of zinc concentrate production grew for 2.5 times to 886 ton. The production of aluminum foil in Jan-Feb 2017 in comparison to the same period of the previous year grew by 2.5% to 4804 ton, versus 9.9% decrease a year ago. At that for February the extent of aluminum rolled foil decreased by 18.9% to 2152 ton. The production of aluminum rolled foil in February 2017 formed 52 ton, versus the 0 index in a month a year ago.
The production of full metal in Jan-Feb 2017 in comparison to the same period of 2016 grew for 2, 3 times to 1 149 ton, which was in February totally. There is no data on molybdenum blocs for Jan-Feb, when a year ago at the same period the extent formed 122 ton with annual decrease by 0.8%. Monthly dynamic on aluminum rolled foil and full metal production is not being conducted, as there was not data in January. All metals produced in Armenia are being exported mainly to Europe and USA.
