ArmInfo. Foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Russia grew in jan-Feb 2017 the same period of 2016 by 23.2% to $233.7mln, and this is the leading index between commercial partners.
According to Armenian National Statistic Service data, the extent of the production export from Armenia to Russia grew in observing period by 53% to $64.4 mln, in case of modest growth of import extent in Russia by 14.7% to $169.1. On export and import Russia also leads among commercial partners of Armenia. To note, in comparison, the same period of the previous year the temps of foreign trade turnover growth between Armenia and Russia were much more modest:7.8% because of the import decrease by 4.8%, export grew two times.
The second place on foreign commerical turnover with Armenia was strengthened with China:$81.4 mln(versus 51.4% a year ago), $63.7 mln goes for import (annual growth by 65.9%), and export $17.8 mln(annual growth by 15.3%).
The third position on foreign commercial turnover is Switzerland, growing trade operations with Armenia for 21.2 times to $44.5 mln, by means of notable export growth for 299.5 times to $34.1 mln, by import growth for 5.2 times to $10.4 mln.
Forth and fifth positions on foreign commerical turnover occupy Bulgaria and Germany: $41 mln and $39 mln correspondently, at that, Germany went down for 2 stages, and Bulgaria in contrary, grew for one step. The extent of export to Bulgaria in Jan-Feb 2017 totaled $36.8 mln annual growth by 52.8%, import by 37.2% to $4.2 mln. Export to Germany grew during this period only by 3.8% annually to %22.3 mln, the decrease of import by 8.7% to $16.7 mln.
Export TOP-5 after Russia formed Bulgary, Switzerland,Germany and Georgia, leaving China in 6th position, leader on import is Russia, leaving China, Turkey, Iran and Germany, which are next to Italy and UAE.
Total extent of foreign trade turnover in Armenia in Jan-Feb 2017 totaled $761 mln, increased in annual view by 22.2%(versus 1.7% decrease a year ago).Export for considering period grew by 20.1% to %273.7mln, import by 23.5% to $487.3 mln, when a year ago in Jan-Feb multi direction dynamic was registered: export growth by 23.6% with import decrease by 12.2%. In foreign trade turnover structure Armenia has 33.2% from CIS countries, EU-22.3%, other countries(including USA, CHINA, UAE, Georgia, Iran, Turkey)-44.5%, which differs from index of the previous year-32.5%, 22.6% and 44.6% correspondently.
