ArmInfo. In Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Belarus eDrone project is launched (studies of unmanned aerial vehicles).
The project, implemented within the framework of Eastern Partnership of EU, supposes that during three years the European experts will teach the colleagues from Eastern Partnership states the latest technologies and methods of creation of unmanned aerial vehicles.
The initiative unites eight states, Italy, France, Poland, Romania, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Belarus. The total budget of the project is 1 million EUR. The sum will be distributed among 17 universities and companies of the participating countries. Based on the results of the three-year program, they will develop their own educational projects and create centers for studying unmanned aerial vehicles on their base.
The eDrone program is funded within the framework of EU Erasmus+, active since 2014 to 2020 which supports the sector of education and professional training.
The participants will be retrained, the European experts will teach them how to modify and where to use drones.
Armenia is represented in the eDrone project by two universities: the State Engineering University of Armenia and the Armenian State Economic University. In the first laboratory will be created, the second will be engaged in the economic substantiation of the program.
